ZDHC Sponsored Breakout Session

“How the textile industry can effectively move towards the zero discharge of hazardous chemicals”

On this page you will find all the links you need to access the information and tools referenced during the ZDHC Breakout session at Planet Textiles 2017.

The issues of water availability, water conservation in wet processing, wastewater discharge, the circular economy and the rise of environmental awareness in India will dominate this year’s Planet Textiles in Bangalore. Participants at the event will learn about ZDHC, its programme, the tools available and those in development.

Participants at Planet Textiles are also welcome to visit the ZDHC Exhibition Table in the Foyer, where they can meet some of the ZDHC team and learn more about the organisation and its work.

We would love to talk to you, so be sure to look out for our exhibition table. We can show you our tools in action and answer any questions you may have. If we don’t see you at the table, our team will also be available during the evening reception in the Foyer/Terrace, which runs from 17.20 until 18:30.

If you are not able to attend you can access live updates from Planet Textiles by following us on our Twitter Account.

The ZDHC Gateway - Chemical Module

The ZDHC Gateway delivers the largest database of safer sustainable chemistry in the textile, leather and footwear industry. It is a simple, online search tool that shows the level to which a chemical buyer can be confident a product conforms with the ZDHC Manufacturing Restricted Substances List (MRSL).
The ZDHC Gateway tool is based on third-party product accreditation standards and options available in the market. A high level of conformance indicates a high level of confidence that the chemical formulation conforms to the ZDHC MRSL. Chemical companies or ‘formulators’ will pay an annual fee to have their formulations listed and will be responsible for keeping information regarding products and accreditations current.

The ZDHC Gateway’s low barrier to entry allows small companies, as well as large ones to register their products and demonstrate conformance to the ZDHC MRSL.

Users of the Chemical Module (manufacturing facilities or ‘suppliers’) will be able to search and identify specific formulations, product listings, and access MRSL-related accreditations.
