The Relaunched ZDHC Gateway is Live - and We Are Moving Forward Together

The most significant part of the ZDHC Gateway transition is now behind us, and we are pleased with how the move has progressed.

Shifting a platform with such a large and active user community is a major undertaking. It is encouraging to see how actively the relaunched ZDHC Gateway is already being used and how much feedback we have received in these first weeks, both positive and constructive. Thank you. This engagement helps us learn, improve and make the ZDHC Gateway stronger.

In our days, a platform relaunch can sometimes bring expectations shaped by new releases from global technology companies. Please keep in mind, ZDHC is a small, purpose-driven, not-for-profit organisation - not a software giant, and we do not pretend to be one. What we do bring is more than a decade of multistakeholder collaboration behind the ZDHC MRSL and Sustainable Chemical Management Framework, together with the experience gained through the ZDHC Gateway since 2017. So, while there may be fewer bells and whistles on day one, we are starting from a high level of industry knowledge and platform experience and will keep building from there.

We deliberately started with a lean solution so we could focus our resources on a stable transition and continuously develop the platform from there. We are now building on that foundation: enhancing functionality, refining processes and improving the user experience based on the evolving needs and feedback of our community.

With thousands of users working on the platform, we recognise that adapting to a new environment takes time. Some processes have changed, some functionality continues to be enhanced, and occasional issues may arise. Our teams are listening closely, reviewing the feedback we receive and prioritising improvements as quickly as possible.

Our Customer Support Team is receiving a high volume of queries, many of which relate to navigating the new platform and its processes. In case you have any questions, I want to encourage you to visit our Knowledge Base or ask Zeddy, our AI assistant, for guidance in real time before creating a support ticket. This will also help our teams focus their attention on matters that require further investigation.

It is important to remember why we relaunched the ZDHC Gateway. The ZDHC Gateway is much more than a software platform. It is a shared infrastructure that enables our community to implement a common approach to safer chemistry at scale. Some of the changes we have introduced are therefore intentionally designed to strengthen data quality, security and the integrity of the system while preparing the ZDHC Gateway for the future.
