To reduce the discharge of hazardous chemicals in the textile, apparel, leather, and footwear industry, the Roadmap to Zero Programme develops guidelines including the ZDHC Manufacturing Restricted Substances List (ZDHC MRSL), ZDHC Wastewater Guidelines, and the ZDHC Man-Made Cellulosic Fibres Guidelines (MMCF). To validate the implementation of ZDHC Guidelines by the value chain, external laboratories, and certifiers can apply to perform testing and certification for suppliers.

Conformance indicators are recognised on the basis of a performance and capability assessment by ZDHC. Laboratories used for ZDHC wastewater and sludge analysis must be accepted by ZDHC, which requires laboratories to have the personnel, equipment, and procedures to analyse wastewater and sludge samples.

The ZDHC Laboratory and Certifier Management Platform handles the assessment and acceptance process from initial application to renewal and due diligence in one easy to use platform. For more information please review this webinar available soon on the ZDHC Academy.

Apply now to become a ZDHC Accepted Laboratory or Certifier and be one of the first to use the new ZDHC Lab and Certifier Management Platform!
