ZDHC adds NimkarTek Detox Laboratory (NDL) as newest ZDHC Accepted Indicator of Level 1 ZDHC MRSL Conformance

Today, the ZDHC Roadmap to Zero Programme is proud to announce that NimkarTek Detox Laboratory (NDL) joins ECO PASSPORT by OEKO-TEX®, ToxServices Full Materials Disclosure™ (ToxFMD™), BLC Chem-MAP and the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) as a ZDHC Accepted provider of services to indicate conformance to the ZDHC MRSL.
NimkarTek Detox Laboratory (NDL) analytical test reports may now be used by chemical suppliers to indicate Level 1 conformance of their products to the ZDHC Manufacturing Restricted Substances List (MRSL) on the ZDHC Gateway - Chemical Module.
“NimkarTek is already one of the ZDHC Accredited Training Providers and we are happy to also have them on board as the first Accepted Testing Laboratory to indicate Level 1 conformance with the ZDHC MRSL,” says Scott Echols, ZDHC Programme Director
To accelerate the global impact of the organisation, ZDHC decided right from the beginning not to develop its own certification system for ZDHC MRSL conformant chemistry, but to leverage existing certification bodies instead.
“To achieve the goal of ZDHC, NimkarTek believes that testing of input chemical inventory for ZDHC MRSL substances is a critical step that a manufacturing facility needs to take. With this in mind, we have set up the NimkarTek Detox Laboratory. We believe in the ZDHC goal and are committed to help the Industry achieve Zero Discharge through our services. We are very happy and excited to be the first ZDHC approved testing laboratory as an indicator of Level 1 ZDHC MRSL Conformance in connection with the ZDHC Gateway - Chemical Module” says Ullhas Nimkar, MD and Chairman, NimkarTek.
The ZDHC Acceptance Programme for Third Party Certification Standards and Testing Laboratories is open to organisations anywhere in the world to apply. To find out more about the acceptance process, criteria and requirements please review the ZDHC MRSL Conformance Guidance.
Interested organisations can apply here for acceptance of their chemical formulation certification system or analytical test reports, by the ZDHC Foundation.
