New Signatory Supplier
ZDHC welcomes Sappi, a global leader in woodfibre-based renewable resources, to the ZDHC Roadmap to Zero Programme as a new Signatory Supplier. Through its Sappi Verve brand, the company supplies premium dissolving wood pulp, a renewable raw material used in cellulosic fibres such as viscose and lyocell. Sappi’s Verve brand is positioned as a sustainable, recyclable wood-derived product and is linked to textile applications that support more resource-efficient value chains.
Joining the ZDHC Roadmap to Zero Programme reinforces Sappi’s commitment to collective action to promote industry-wide best practices. Through this engagement, they are co-creating solutions with their dissolving wood pulp value chain partners to drive the elimination of hazardous chemicals and improve water stewardship. This collaboration aligns with Sappi’s commitment to responsible manufacturing whilst contributing to our broader environmental and social impact goals.
Sappi’s sustainability approach also includes a focus on sustainable, woodfibre-based solutions, forest certification to promote responsible forest management, and stronger traceability across the textile value chain. Sappi also highlights biodiversity, climate action and decarbonisation across its sustainability work, including efforts to expand renewable energy and reduce emissions.
