ZDHC Roadmap to Zero Programme - Suppliers Roadmap to Zero
July 24, 2025
Launch of the Suppliers Roadmap to Zero
ZDHC’s Roadmap to Zero Programme (RtZ) has grown into a vibrant community of over 350 dedicated Signatories (brands, suppliers, formulators and solutions providers) united by a shared commitment: safer chemistry for a cleaner planet and a brighter future.
Providing a clear implementation path through industry-endorsed guidelines, platforms and solutions for sustainable chemical management.
We’re excited to enter a new phase of positive impact: Introducing the ZDHC Roadmap to Zero digital space.
Streamlining the ZDHC Roadmap to Zero Programme
Carrying out sustainable chemical management can be complex and navigating many PDF guidelines can be challenging for users. We’ve listened to your feedback and we’re now transitioning to a simplified and easy-to-use experience without changing core requirements. No more PDFs. No added complexity. Just a streamlined experience.
The ZDHC Roadmap to Zero Programme will be made up as a collection of tailored Roadmap to Zero journeys – one for each stakeholder group.
The first to launch is the Suppliers Roadmap to Zero, followed by similar modules for brands, formulators and solution providers.
What’s different (and What’s Not)
The process of digitalisation begins with the Suppliers Roadmap to Zero, but brands, formulators and solution provider platforms will follow.
No more PDF documents (for the digitalised sections).
All supplier requirements for implementing the ZDHC Roadmap to Zero Programme will be available in one place.
Taking the required actions detailed in the requirements in Suppliers Roadmap to Zero will support suppliers in their Supplier to Zero assessment.
The fibre industry (MMCF, recycled polyester, dissolved pulp) are not in scope of the Suppliers Roadmap to Zero, but will have their own journey in the future.
Benefits for suppliers
The new Suppliers Roadmap to Zero (RtZ) will provide a step-by-step guide for apparel, textile, leather, and footwear suppliers. Empowering suppliers to discover and implement ZDHC sustainable chemical management requirements at their own pace and according to their specific needs. Suppliers will find seamless integration of previously separate guidelines/guides and simplified performance evaluation aligned with Supplier to Zero.
Benefits for brands
The new Suppliers Roadmap to Zero (RtZ) simplifies how brands manage supplier requirements by consolidating them into one platform. This makes it easier to guide and onboard suppliers through a clear, structured journey.
Next year, the launch of the Brands Roadmap to Zero will provide brands with a comprehensive, holistic view of their own implementation progress, helping them drive continuous improvement in sustainable chemical management.
Benefits for other stakeholders
While the initial platform focuses on supplier implementation, the upcoming Brand and Formulator Roadmap to Zero initiatives will extend the same benefits of consolidating multiple guidelines into a single, streamlined platform. This unified approach will give all stakeholders clear visibility into each other's progress and requirements, fostering greater transparency and collaboration across the industry.
