Inter IKEA Group is the group of companies that connects IKEA franchisees with range development and suppliers and aligns the overall IKEA strategic direction. All to create a better everyday life for the many people.

IKEA is a global home furnishing brand that sides with many people and embraces development that makes people’s everyday lives at home better. Their business idea is "to offer a wide range of well-designed, functional home furnishing products at prices so low that as many people as possible will be able to afford them" and the way they go about it is led by what they call Democratic Design.

Democratic Design helps them to develop products that have a beautiful design and good function, are sustainable, of good quality and are available at an affordable price.

By joining the ZDHC Roadmap to Zero Programme, the Inter IKEA Group is reinforcing its sustainable chemical management approach, an integrated part of the IKEA sustainability strategy. The company  aims to reduce negative pressures and impacts on nature across its value chain, while contributing to the protection, improvement and enhancement of natural ecosystems in their sphere of influence.
